As promised in my It’s All About Perspective post, here are some photos of the finished wall hanging.
I’ve finished quilting over the original quilting stitches and added the binding.
I am so happy with how this project turned out! I really thought it was a lost cause.
This is proof that stitching CAN be stitched over. Just take your time.
Here is a close-up of the “S”. It was a fun design to machine quilt.
I pinned it over one of my Gnome Place Like Home wall hangings and hung it on the wall in our living room.
This gave me an idea of how it will look hanging on the wall in our daughter and son-in-law’s home. I like it! The design is visible from half-way across the room as well as from the opposite side of the room. Win, win!
I do not, however, like the look of our nearly-naked windows! A stark reminder that I need to get busy making some sort of window dressing for our recently remodeled living room. 🙂
I hope you give machine quilting a whole cloth wall hanging or pillow a try.
And, just remember that, if you don’t like the way the quilting looks, the stitches can always be stitched over. 🙂
Have a great day!
