Just Buzzing Through Quilt Along – Week Seven – Binding

Congratulations! You are about to cross the Just Buzzing Through Quilt Along finish line!

It’s the seventh and final week of this Quilt Along journey. I hope you have had as much fun as I have making this graphic quilt!

The binding is pretty straight forward. After you’ve cut and assembled the binding strips according to the pattern instructions, press the long binding strip in half lengthwise and align the raw edges with the edge of your quilt top.

If you are not sure how to attach binding, I have tutorials that will help. Straight Binding and Straight, Double-Fold (French) Binding With Mitered Corners have lots of photos, tips, and instructions that show you exactly how to make the binding and bind your quilt.

For this Baby Quilt, I omitted the border and used the background fabric for the binding.

Whether you’ve been quilting along from the start or just getting started, each post for the Just Buzzing Through Quilt Along will always be on my website, so that you can access them at anytime. So, if you’re not quite ready to bind your quilt, that’s okay. Just work at your own pace and have fun. The posts will be there when you are ready.
