Merry Christmas! From Lookout Mountain

I love this time of year! The music, the food, the decorations, time with family and friends, time for refection, time for worship, and for remembering the reason for the season. Christ’s birth.

When God came to earth and took on a human form so that He could grow up to die on a cross for our sins. An awesome gift to all who believe. Thank You, Father!

My mother made this from felt and sequins at least 50 years ago. It was always displayed on an antique round end table in the living room. When she passed it down to me, it became our tree skirt. It has four scenes depicting Joseph and Mary traveling to Bethlehem, the shepherds who came to see the baby, the birth of Jesus, and the magi, bearing gifts, who came to worship the child. It’s beautiful, and another one of those decorations that make me smile and remember God’s precious gift.

Well, I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all, and blessings in the new year.

Diane
